I thought I would list some of the books I have read recently and recommend.
Probably the best book I have ever read. I will probably review it sometime soon. Money and time well invested.
Definitely a top five for me. Probably the single greatest exposition of the kingdom of God I have come across. And more than that, some inspiration to actually do something.
A very good approach to reading the Bible and understanding what it means to live under the authority of Scripture.
A good analysis of American Christianity.
Not for the faint of heart! If you want to have your practices as a Christian put under the microscope, read this. While not always right, the authors definitely give us some food for thought (and hopefully action).
I'm not finished yet, but the book is an attempt to provide guidlines for approaching politics in a fashion consistent with Jesus' own thinking. Will anger Republicans and Democrats (but probably Republicans the most). Interesting given the run up to the current election.
